“OECD Skills Strategy: Poland” has been released

The “OECD Skills Strategy: Poland” report was presented at a conference on December 11th in Warsaw. The conference was attended by representatives of ministries, NGOs, the education sector and institutions supporting education. Dariusz Piontkowski, Minister of National Education opened the conference, and the report’s main conclusions were presented by Ludger Schuknecht, Deputy Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Więcej

Polish students among the best in the world. Results of the international PISA 2018 survey are out.

Polish students are ahead of everyone but young Estonians in mathematical literacy in the European Union. In terms of reading literacy, Polish youths occupy 4th place among EU countries, and in science literacy, they are third. Więcej

The pilot of the P-TECH programme begins

IBM announced today that it is launching the P-TECH educational and vocational development programme in cooperation with the Educational Research Institute and Samsung and Fujitsu Technology Solutions. Save the date! A conference on developing models for including non-formal sector qualifications in NQFs

The conference will present the experiences of different countries on including qualifications attained in the non-formal education sector in national qualifications frameworks. The main focus will be on the models developed, which are based on a detailed analysis of the systems in seven EU countries: Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Ireland, Poland and UK-Scotland. The models are being developed to support decision makers and relevant stakeholders designing solutions and procedures to include non-formal sector qualifications in NQF-based qualifications systems. Experts and specialists playing key roles in implementing national qualifications frameworks will be presenting. Additionally, working group sessions will be held, enabling participants to share their experiences and provide feedback on the material presented, serving as a mutual learning experience.

Our mission in Macedonia has been completed

Skopje was host to a regular stream of experts on European qualifications systems in 2016-2017. October 17, 2017 was the official closing date of the Twinning Project “Further improvement of the system for development and implementation of the National Qualifications Framework” implemented under Twinning contract MK 13 IPA SO 02 15 by the Educational Research Institute (Leader) in a consortium with Ministry of Science, Education and Sports of Croatia and the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework Partnership of the United Kingdom.
