Guidelines for Reviewers on Completing the Review Form
When evaluating a manuscript, reviewers should primarily consider the following criteria:
- clarity in the formulation of the research problem,
- quality and relevance of the literature used,
- novelty/originality of the proposed approach to the problem,
- strength and clarity of the conclusions.
Reviewers are also encouraged to point out any shortcomings in the manuscript (including language issues (especially if the article is written in English) that could help the author make meaningful revisions.
Additionally, reviewers should provide a clear recommendation indicating whether the article should be:
- rejected (please include a justification for this decision);
- revised and resubmitted for review after major changes (please specify what needs improvement; in this case, the revised version will be sent back to the same reviewer);
- accepted with minor revisions (the handling editor will decide on publication after corrections are made);
- accepted without revisions.
