The results of the Programme for International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIACC) survey, coordinated by OECD, were published on December 10. The survey was conducted in 2022–23 and covered 31 countries, including Poland. The survey measured three basic competences among adults (16-65 years): literacy, numeracy and problem-solving.

Poland is among the countries with the highest results for mathematics and science. The average scores of Polish 4^th graders were higher compared to the results of 2019. Despite relatively good skill scores, positive attitudes towards mathematics and science as well as a sense of affiliation to the school community have been steadily declining.
