The first in a series of meetings with education system staff is behind us! The event, held on September 19 in Lublin and organised by the project “Supporting the accessibility of education for children and youth”, was an opportunity to exchange experiences and take a closer look at the issue of assessment in primary schools.

We are continually following the development of the flood situation impacting several of our country's regions. In these difficult times, our thoughts are with the affected people who are struggling with the aftermath of the floods or still working to prevent them. In view of this situation, we are postponing the meeting to launch the nationwide public consultation on the graduate profile scheduled for September 20. Under the current circumstances, the most important thing is to unite and help all those affected by this natural disaster.

We encourage you to familiarise yourself with the working draft of the core curriculum for the subject of civics education in the version for general and vocational secondary schools and for the stage 1 sectoral vocational school.

We invite you to use the latest handbooks for teachers on how to support pupils to learn effectively at school and at home.

Learning is a key skill in life – everyone can learn it and should develop it. We encourage you to take advantage of the specific tools and solutions presented in the handbooks “How to support pupils in self-directed learning”.

The Educational Research Institute and the Ministry of National Education are pleased to invite you to participate in a conference entitled “From the profile to changes in the education system”. The conference is sponsored by the project “Shaping competencies – from the profile to practice – developing a ‘graduate profile’ taking into account the assumptions/concepts of necessary changes in general education”, implemented by the Educational Research Institute and part of a broader and long-term plan of changes in Polish education.
